NAJWA Junior Corps (NJC) is comprised of young dancers and musicians less than eighteen years of age and who are committed to the art of dance and music. Najwa Junior Corps is designed to advance its members to a high-quality performance level.

The purpose and advantages of being a member of Najwa Junior Corps are:

  • The advancement of dance training
  • Performance experience
  • Opportunities to learn teaching skills and production skills

Najwa Junior Corps is recruiting young dancers to study dance styles and techniques, reflective of the African American Dance Heritage and Experience.

Najwa Junior Corps’ deepest desire is to develop our member’s dance styles and techniques and more importantly to Najwa Junior Corps is that, our members enjoy the wonderful camaraderie of dancers, dancing together in unity.

Young dancers join Najwa Junior Corps and enjoy the art of dance and the advancement of their dance training.

Under the umbrella of Najwa Junior Corps, we empower our young dancers to dance into their best dance selves. These Young Dancers and Musicians have performed throughout the city of Chicago and with Najwa Dance Corps. Ms. Moore is responsible for conceiving, training, developing and implementing the artistic mission of Najwa Dance Corps.

Ms Moore, Artistic Director of Najwa Junior Corps has developed her dancers to become great teachers, performers, entertainers and arts educators. Najwa Junior Corps has performed with Najwa Dance Corps recently at the Reva & David Logan Center for the Arts at the University of Chicago, Millenium Park, for the mayor of Chicago’s celebration of raising the flag for Juneteenth 2024, Ravinia Festival and McCormick Place.
